And a big congrats to Anna for being named Cosmo’s Fun Fearless Female of the Year!

She makes us laugh — and cringe — by pushing the limits of comedy in a way no other actress can. That balls-out confidence (plus the fact that she’s such a babe) makes her the Cosmo girl to watch in 2010.

Not to sound creepy, but we’re following Anna Faris into her bedroom…or trying to, at least. “I have to show you something!” she shouts as she leaps over a doggy gate. Once we catch up, she sprints past the bed she shares with her husband, actor Chris Pratt, opens her closet, and retrieves a pair of 6-inch bedazzled red patent leather heels.

“Every woman needs a pair,” Anna says as she holds up the soft-core-porn equivalent of Dorothy’s ruby slippers, “and Chris totally loves it when I wear them.”

Anna is, of course, joking around (about the first part, not the second). The shoes were part of her wardrobe when she played an ex-Playboy Playmate in the movie The House Bunny, but tonight, Anna’s outfit is a little more low-key: a tee shirt and jeans underneath a greenstriped apron, with her hair pulled into a loose whiteblond bun. As we walk back to the kitchen of her cozy home—she’s roasting us a chicken for dinner—we notice an actual cat skeleton posed on her mantle not far from photographs of her gorgeous mom. Uh, who does that?

That’s also a question you might ask yourself while watching one of Anna’s audacious performances. And the answer is: Nobody but her.

The good and the bad of reliving childhood memories.
“It was a book that I loved as a kid, so I couldn’t wait to be a part of it. I thought it was going to be easy, but it’s so much harder than I thought. You’re on your feet for hours in front of a microphone and you’re giving a full performance. The producers sort of sell you on it going, ‘This is going to be fun. No hair. No makeup. You just pop in. You record your voice. You act out a funny animated character.’ Believe me, it’s still a challenge.”

Adjusting to G-rated jokes.
“I love offensive humor, and I’m really proud to be a part of that stuff, especially as a woman. In comedy you’re always trying to walk the line between being funny and also pleasing your audience. I’m very comfortable being raunchy and outrageous, but Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs is great as well even if it’s kinder and gentler. It’s nice that my parents can finally see one of my movies without blushing.”

The much-anticipated animated comedy Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs has finally hit cinemas across the US! The Friday estimates at the box office are in - and the movie took the number one spot by far with $8,100,000! Hopefully the word of mouth will keep it on top the entire weekend. Stay tuned for full box office reports!

Yesterday, Anna Faris attended the Los Angeles premiere of The Ugly Truth. She looked gorgeous in a little black dress, as she supported the movie’s lead actors Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler. Check out lots of photos from the red carpet, as well as the after party, in the gallery. Enjoy!
