Anna Faris and Chris Pratt Expecting First Child

The timing is right: Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are going to be parents!

The Dictator actress, 35, and her Parks and Recreation star husband, 32, are expecting their first child this fall, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

After tying the knot in 2009, the couple were open about their dreams of a large family, but admitted the timing was “so hard in this industry.”

Still, The Five Year Engagement actor made it clear he was ready to fall into fatherhood sooner rather than later. “Chris wants a big family,” Faris told PEOPLE.

The actress stars alongside Sacha Baron Cohen in The Dictator, opening May 16, and is currently filming Working Title’s I Give It a Year in London with Rose Byrne and Simon Baker.

Pratt is filming Zero Dark Thirty for director Kathryn Bigelow and will appear with Channing Tatum in Ten Year this September.

No “Scary Movie 5″ for Anna Faris

Most people first discovered the comedic talent of actress Anna Faris when she played Cindy Cambell in the first Scary Movie in 2000 and over the next six years, she’s helped ground that comedy franchise as it spoofed dozens of movies that came out during the first half of the ’00s.

It’s been six years since Scary Movie 4 and while there’s been talk of Dimension Films making another one ever since, they finally announced they were moving ahead with Scary Movie 5 and that it would be directed by Malcolm Lee. Other than the release date of January 11, 2013, that’s pretty much all that’s known about it.

Of course, we wanted to assume that Cindy Campbell would be back and it was rumored Faris might at least make a cameo, so when ComingSoon.net interviewed Anna Faris today for her new movie The Dictator with Sacha Baron Cohen, we asked whether she’s gotten the call and whether Cindy may be returning.

“No, I don’t think I’m going to do it,” she told us. “I don’t think I’m part of that. I don’t know exactly what’s happening with it, but I hear it’s sort of in the works and stuff.”

It’s kind of sad to hear that Faris won’t have a chance to pass on the baton, but she was glad to hear we’d miss seeing her in the movie, and maybe they’ll call her eventually to at least do a cameo.

As of now, no other cast has been officially announced, although at least another “Scary Movie” regular Regina Hall has worked with Malcolm Lee before, appearing in his first movie The Best Man.

Look for more from our interview with Ms. Faris before The Dictator opens on Wednesday, May 16.

Collider is reporting that the Peter Farrelly/Charles Wessler comedy anthology film (sometimes known as “Movie 43″) has been pushed back in release until January 25, 2013.

Finally, Peter Farrelly and Charles Wessler’s comedy anthology will continue to sit on the shelf, which is a little odd since the movie’s got famous faces to spare. Here’s the cast:

Johnny Knoxville, Gerard Butler, Anna Faris, Seann William Scott, Hugh Jackman, Richard Gere, Uma Thurman, Halle Berry, Emma Stone, Naomi Watts, Kate Bosworth, Kate Winslet, Terrence Howard, Liev Schreiber, Elizabeth Banks, Justin Long, Kristen Bell, Patrick Warburton, Josh Duhamel, Jason Sudeikis, Chloe Grace Moretz, Stephen Merchant, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jack McBrayer, Kieran Culkin, and Chris Pratt.

All of the actors star in a series of interconnected stories. For whatever reason, Relativity doesn’t believe there’s a date left in 2012 that’s right for the movie. On January 25, 2013 it will face the action thriller Parker starring Jason Statham, and the break-dancing drama Battle of the Year: The Dream Team (formerly titled Planet B-Boy).

Rose Byrne and Anna Faris have signed on for a romantic comedy called I Give it a Year, Variety reports. The project will be both written and directed by Dan Mazer, the screenwriter of Borat, Bruno and the upcoming The Dictator (in which Faris also stars).

The actresses join Simon Baker and Rafe Spall in the tale of a couple (Byrne and Spall) trying to make it through their first year of marriage.

Faris recently appeared in Take Me Home Tonight and What’s Your Number and provided a voice for Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked. Byrne, meanwhile, starred in Bridesmaids and in X-Men: First Class.
