Heat factor: Anna will once again have you guffawing in What’s Your Number?

The story centers around Sacha Baron Cohen’s character, a dictator who travels to America for a meeting at the United Nations. However, he discovers his second in command has replaced the dictator with a look-alike sheepherder. Anna Faris will play an organic food store owner who meets the dictator and gives him a fresh outlook on life, and perhaps a bit of romance as well. Here’s the official logline which was released by Paramount recently.

“The film tells the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed. It is inspired by the best selling novel, Zabibah and The King, by Saddam Hussein.”

Larry Charles is directing The Dictator from a script by Alec Berg, Jeff Schaffer, David Mandel, and Dan Mazer. Production is scheduled to begin in May, with shooting to take place in New York City and Monaco.

The Dictator comes to theaters May 11th, 2012 and stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Ben Kingsley, Jason Mantzoukas, Anna Faris. The film is directed by Larry Charles.

THR reports that Jason Mantzoukas (The League) is already attached to play Cohen’s sidekick in the film. Producers are looking for actors with very strong improvisational skills, and understandably so given the unscripted nature of Borat and Bruno. The report stresses that Cohen and Co. are still looking to fill the female lead role, and it could very well end up going to someone other than Wiig, Faris or Jacobs. Filming is set to begin in May in New York and Morocco for a May 11th, 2012 release date.

The idea for the project came from Faris’ reps — her agent at Gersh and manager at Anonymous Content — after they heard the comedienne recount a funny incident that happened to her in real life.

The idea was further developed by writer Deanna Kizis (who co-wrote Camp Rules for Montecito) and Patel. Kizis will now write the script

Faris will exec produce with Doug Wald.

One of the few female comedic actresses that can open movies, Faris (Scary Movie, The House Bunny) will next star in Fox’s What’s Your Number, which opens September 30.

While franchise stars Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, and Signourney Weaver are all listed as members of the Ghostbusters 3 cast, actress Anna Faris (the Scary Movie series) is is listed as a star of the flick as well. There’s no information about her role in the pic, but, assuming that this IS legitimate (and, considering the project’s history, it’s impossible not to be skeptical), we should find out more about her part in the near future.

Channing Tatum is working with Jamie Linden and producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey of Temple Hill on “Ten Year,” an ensemble drama about friends reuniting a decade after their graduation.

Linden, who wrote “We Are Marshall,” is penning the script and will direct. He also wrote “Dear John,” which starred Tatum and was based on a Nicholas Sparks novel.

Tatum has been heavily involved in the development process. He also will star and join Temple Hill in producing the film with his 33andOut Prods. partner Reid Carolin.

The script is being written with specific actors in mind, with a partial list including Tatum’s wife, Jenna Dewan (“Step Up”); pals Anna Faris and her husband, Chris Pratt; Chris Pine; and Scott Porter (“Friday Night Lights”).

There are no deals in place for the actors, and involvement will depend on availability. The indie production also is assembling financing, though the filmmakers are hoping to begin shooting in November.

Tatum, repped by UTA and Management 360, is shooting “The Vow” with Rachel McAdams in Toronto.

Linden is repped by Paradigm and Magnet Management.

Relativity announced Thursday that it, instead of Universal, will distribute “The Dark Fields” and “Kids in America,” following its acquisition of Overture Films’ distribution and marketing operation. Both are Relativity films.

“Kids in America,” produced by Imagine Entertainment and shot in 2007, opens nationwide on March 4, 2011. “Dark Fields,” toplining Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper and Abbie Cornish, opens March 18.

U had been set to open “Kids” on Dec. 3 and “Dark Fields” on Jan. 21.

Relativity also dated martial arts Western “The Warrior’s Way” for Dec. 3, although that is a rent-a-system deal with Emerald City and Sad Flutes.

Photos surfaced on the Web Tuesday from the Boston set of the actress’ new movie “What’s Your Number?,” co-starring Chris Evans, which show a blond woman and a brown-haired man completely nude jumping into the Boston Harbor.

The series of photos, which appeared on U.K.’s Daily Mail and Hollywood Life, reveal the woman shedding her pink bikini as her male companion pulls off his grey shorts.

Despite the fact that photos from the same set show the actors’ faces, Faris’ spokesperson denies that the photos are of the “House Bunny” star.

“These pictures are of a body double,” she told the Daily News.

Faris’ rep said that the actress would have been on set during the nude scene to film moments where her face is visible but that she was replaced for the naked shots.

In “Number?” the 33-year-old actress plays a woman who returns to her previous relationships to determine if one of her past lovers is the one.

The romantic comedy, due out in 2011, also stars Zachary Quinto and Faris’ husband, Chris Pratt.

New Line is remaking the seminal 1980 comedy, reconfiguring it for the new century as a starring vehicle for Anna Faris.

Amy Talkington is in discussions to write the new take, to be produced by Mark Gordon.

“Benjamin” starred Goldie Hawn in a star-making turn as a spoiled woman who joins the Army after her husband dies during sex on their wedding night. One of the top-grossing movies of that year, “Benjamin” was hailed for tackling women’s issues and earned three Oscar noms — for Hawn, supporting actress Eileen Brennan and original screenplay (Nancy Meyers, Charles Shyer and Harvey Miller).

The title joins “Vacation” and “Police Academy” as the latest titles from the Warner Bros. library that New Line is remaking.

The new take will set the story in contemporary times with modern wars as the backdrop. Insiders say the studio doesn’t want to poke fun at the men and women in the service or take political potshots, but rather focus on the empowerment elements and build on the fish-out-of-water comedy.

Michelle Weiss is overseeing for the studio.

Talkington, repped by UTA and the Arlook Group, penned a remake of 1980s classic “Valley Girl,” which is set up at MGM. The scribe has shown she can pen a female voice with Fox’s “Queen of the Rodeo,” about teenage girls competing for the title of rodeo queen, and “Devil in the Junior League,” a Universal comedy centering on a spurned wife who is forced to transform a vulgar woman into a role model for a women’s organization.

Faris, one of the few comediennes who can open a movie, is set to star in her latest comedy, “What’s Your Number?” which is to begin shooting this spring. She’s repped by Gersh and Raw Talent Management.

“Number” revolves around a young woman who, with the aid of her womanizing next door neighbor, decides to re-visit all her ex-boyfriends in the hopes of finding the man of her dreams.

Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson are producing. Their previous credits include “Journey to the Center of the Earth” and “The Guardian.” They’re in post on “Red Dawn.”

“What’s Your Number?” is based on Karyn Bosnak’s tome “20 Times a Lady.” Bosnak originally adapted the book for the bigscreen; her script was rewritten by Jennifer Crittenden and Gabrielle Allan.

Before landing at Regency, the project was at New Line, then Sony.

Faris, who will exec produce “What’s Your Number?”, has two other studio projects, “Gold Diggers” at Paramount, also starring Kate Hudson, and “TMI” at Universal, in which Faris will star opposite Ryan Reynolds. She also has “Yogi Bear” in the works.

Faris’ R-rated comedy “The House Bunny” was a sleeper hit for Sony and Relativity, grossing $70.4 million at the worldwide box office in late 2008.

Evans, who played Johnny Storm in Fox’s “Fantastic Four” franchise, is in theaters next month with Warner Bros.’ actioner “The Losers.”
