Britney Spears: The Movie?

It is rumoured that Lynne Spears is planning to turn her tell-all book on Britney’s life into a film.

The memoir, Through The Storm, chronicled the “Toxic” singer’s downfall, and her descent into drink and drugs, which culminated in her very public breakdown. It also featured details of Britney’s relationships with Justin Timberlake and ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Now several resources report that Lynne is courting movie studios. A source claims, ‘She’s pitching the book around to studios. She even says she wants Julia Roberts to play her. It’s insane!’

And who will play the lead? Rumours are circulating that actress Anna Faris has been approached to take on the role of Britney.

The explosive memoir controversially detailed intimate access of the singer’s life, with Mrs Spears revealing that her daughter began drinking at 13, lost her virginity at 14 and was taking drugs by her 15th birthday.

Proud of the bong award

Anna Faris’ proudest career achievement is the Stonette of the Year prize she was awarded by editors at marijuana magazine High Times. The star was singled out for the award in October 2007, because of her roles in Smiley Face and Entourage, and presented a working bong as a prize.

She tells Time Out New York, “I’ve got my bong award on my fireplace. It’s the only award I’ve ever won. I’m so proud.” And she hints she has used the smoking tool for its intended purpose: “It does work. I can celebrate myself while enjoying myself”.

Faris still upset about Diaz controversy

Actress Anna Faris still feels a little sore about mocking Cameron Diaz in Lost In Translation - because she had no idea she was lampooning the Charlie’s Angels star.

It has become fabled that writer/director Sofia Coppola was poking fun at Diaz in the film, and cast Faris as the movie star’s alter-ego.

But the Scary Movie star had no idea. She says, “That’s been really hard… I auditioned, without having read the script, pretty much exactly the way I played it (character) in the movie. I filmed for only about a week, so I didn’t get that much one-on-one time with Sofia Coppola. When the movie came out eight or nine months later and these questions started coming, I felt blindsided. I felt defensive at first… I felt so terrible about the whole thing.”

Faris still cannot believe her Lost In Translation character is based on Diaz, despite the rumours: “I don’t think Sofia’s that vindictive”

Anna Faris on her Playboy research

Anna Faris researched her role as a Playboy outcast in new comedy The House Bunny by wandering around Hugh Hefner’s famous Holmby Hills, California mansion. In the film, Faris plays a Playboy regular who becomes a sorority mother at college after she’s kicked out of the mansion. And to get a feel for life at Hefner’s fabled pad, Faris spent time there.

She says, “There are peacocks wandering around and beautiful girls and oddly placed bottles of baby oil, without any babies in sight. I checked out the grotto, but I didn’t go in. There’s the old addage you might get pregnant.”

Faris is planning a return trip - The House Bunny’s premiere party will be held at the Playboy Mansion. She giggles, “I’m taking my mum.”

Anna Faris Was ‘Self-Conscious About Her Body’

Anna Faris plays a Playboy bunny in the upcoming film The House Bunny and posed (clothed) for the September cover of Playboy magazine – but she says she wasn’t always so eager to show off her physique.

In high school, “I felt unattractive, short and self-conscious about my body, and I would purposely emphasize that by doing odd things,” Faris, 31, tells Playboy. “I wore glasses, braces, odd hairdos and dumpy clothes. I was clumsy and awkward. When I was a freshman I wore a Christmas tree skirt as a cape. I couldn’t get any dates until senior year.”

That’s not really a problem anymore for Faris, who was divorced from her husband, Ben Indra, in February. Neither are raunchy comedy roles – which even her parents are used to now.

“When I went with my parents and brother to see Scary Movie at a Seattle strip mall the opening weekend, I was like, ‘Mom, there’s going to be a couple of points when I’m going to need you to go to the bathroom or get me popcorn. Just obey me,’” she says. “Now I’ve totally broken them in.”
