The skinny: The main thing you need to know about Anna Faris is that, no matter how tasteless, grotesque or embarrassing the role is, so long as it’s funny, she’s game. “I was willing to doanything,” she has said, on landing the part of Cindy Campbell in theScary Movieseries. It worked: 12 years on, Faris is Hollywood’s go-to girl for gross-out ditz. This year she’s branching out – as well as starring in Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator, the 35-year-old is trying her hand at producing her own films, including Gold Diggers, which will be to Wedding Crashers what Bridesmaids was to The Hangover.

Tell us a joke: “My father took me to a zoo over the holidays. But there was only one animal. It was a Shih Tzu.”
